From Saturday 8th August you must wear a mask when in the salon.
Arrive on time to your appointment and use the hand sanitiser provided.
Come alone - do not bring anyone with you.
We have taken all necessary steps in salon to minimse the risk of Coronavirus.
We will be using disposable items where possible - and disinfecting those we cannot.
We may not be able to carry out your service if you arrive late.
Follow team member instructions, signage and social distancing rules at all times.
What you need to know...
We have taken precautions in line with the Government advice for hair salons to minimise the spread of Coronavirus and to protect our clients and team members.
Here are the things that have changed since your last visit to us, please take a moment to familiarise yourself so that your next visit to us will be safe, comfortable and relaxing.
From Saturday 15th August there will be a small £3 charge to help cover the increasing cost of additional PPE requirements.
Please arrive at the salon on time for your appointment, we must strictly follow appointment times to control the flow of our clients throughout the day. Unfortunately, if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your appointment time we may not be able to carry out your service and your booking prepayment/deposit will be lost.
When you enter the salon please wait behind the marker line on the salon floor, you must use the hand sanitizer provided.
A team member will meet you.
We would love to give you a hug or shake your hand, but please do not take offence as we cannot do either right now.
Please only bring what you need, ideally minimise any personal belongings brought into the salon. If you need to bring a coat a team member will show you where to hang it yourself.
From Saturday 8th August following Government guidelines face coverings or mask are mandatory for our clients whilst you are in the salon.
Face masks are available at the welcome table (for a small fee) along with hand sanitiser.
Please wear your own mask or face covering if you can.
All of our staff will be wearing face shields, as stated in the Government guidelines for hair salons.
You must enter the salon alone for your appointment, please do not bring children or partners with you, unless they are booked for their own appointment at the same time.
Children remain the sole responsibility of the parent, and they must observe social distancing practices at all times.
At this time, we will not be serving any tea/coffee or other refreshments. Please bring your own bottled water, you must not eat in the salon.
Our toilets will remain open, but please follow correct handwashing procedures.
We are currently working to pre-booked appointments only. We cannot offer walk-in appointments at this time.
Appointments must be booked via telephone - not by walking into the salon. (Repeat bookings at the end of your service may be scheduled before you leave)
We are working to strict timings for appointments, and we cannot over run scheduled timings, therefore we will do our best to accommodate colour or cut restyles, but we must work within the pre-booked appointment slot.
At this time, we will not be receiving any money. Payments must be made by card or contactless payment only.
Do not cross tape lines marked on the floor, follow instructions from our team and arrow markers on floor when moving around the salon.
We have changed from using 14 stylist sections to 6 styling sections. This has created much more space in the salon, and exceeds the 2 metre ruling at around 3 metres. Where we need to work within 1 metre of you appropriate steps have been taken following Government guidance.
We will be using disposable and single use wherever possible in salon, you will notice that our gowns have changed to single use plastic and our towels have been replaced by disposable paper towels.
Anything that cannot be made single use ie our equipment, we will be implementing a strict clean down procedure after every client. This procedure will use Barbicide - a hospital grade disinfectant to disinfect our tools.
Our stylists and technicians will be working within their own area of the salon, with their own dedicated equipment, tools, disposables and cleaning products.
All appointments have a 'buffer' period before and after, to allow for a smoother transition between clients and to allow time for the clean down procedure.
There has been much speculation around the use of hairdryers. We are allowed to blow dry your hair.
If you wish to leave the salon as quickly as possible, you are welcome to leave with your hair wet or have a quicker blast dry, please note though that we cannot check the end result and quality of colours or cuts unless the hair has been blow dried.
You do not need to arrive at the salon with pre-washed hair or wet hair. This is especially important if you are recieving a colour service. You will have your hair washed in salon as normal, with the addition of strict cleaning procedures of basins and disposable towels.
We will ensure that your contact details are up to date, this is so we can assist the NHS Track and Trace system should the need arise.
Hopefully we will not need to, but we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who we suspect has symptoms of coronavirus or who repeatedly or intentionally breaks social distancing guidance.
Finally, we always hope that you will love your hair but we understand that it is sometimes not the case, we always strive to achieve and exceed your hair goals and in the event that we don't, we aim to rectify any problems as quickly as possible.
At the moment we are facing unparalleled bookings and we cannot break the regulations set by the Government. Therefore we aim to rectify any problems as soon as we are able to whilst also ensuring team and client safety.
